History Play - Brewing a Scandal: Corruption, Politics, and the Teapot Dome

By Landmark Center (other events)

3 Dates Through Sep 28, 2019

ABOUT ABOUT

The Teapot Dome Scandal of the 1920’s was a conspiracy between members of President Harding’s cabinet and oil executives to exploit the Teapot Dome Naval Oil Reserve in Wyoming. Prior to Watergate, this was the most significant scandal in American politics and led to the appointment of a Special Counsel, several Senate hearings, civil and criminal trials, and new legislation which remains in force today.

“Brewing a Scandal: Corruption, Politics, and the Teapot Dome,” will recall the events surrounding this political kerfuffle in a way only Landmark Center’s History Plays can – with lawyers and judges, taking on the roles of the corrupt and criminal!

“Brewing a Scandal” will play September 26-28 at 7 pm, in the F.K. Weyerhaeuser Auditorium. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online at landmarkcenter.org, by calling Sydney at 651.292.3063, or at the door while supplies last.
