Molly Maher is an incomparable singer and songwriter with compelling depth and soul who has also shared the stage with some of the best acts in the country: Los Lobos, John Hiatt, Lucinda Williams, Marty Stuart and more. Maher toured nationally with acclaimed singer-songwriter Marlee MacLeod as her bass player and opening act. She has played the Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles, Uncomon Ground in Chicago, Shim Sham Club in New Orleans, and at First Avenue, Lee’s Liquor Lounge, the Turf Club in Saint Paul and Nyes Polonais Room.
Rich vocal harmonies merge with intimate layers of guitar, fiddle and banjo to define the lush sound of music duo Dusty Heart. Barbara Jean and Molly Dean are two songwriters recognized in their own right for their poetic lyrics and distinct vocal styles that when combined create a powerful and haunting sound that takes on a life of its own. The two decided to join forces and craft a sound that bridges together the diverse musical worlds of roots, indie, and folk.
